What are Espadrilles Shoes? 

The primary feature of espadrilles is the braided jute sole (esparto rope). The handcrafting of espadrilles is generally more complex than other leather shoes, like sandals and mules.

On our journey towards becoming more mindful and sustainable. We're taking steps to be better on the environment.  It was a journey finding the right insoles for our sandals and sliders. Not only did we want the softest leather that was both flexible and comfortable. We wanted a tannery that works with the traditional method of naturally bleaching and tanning the leather. What is tanning? It's basically the process that converts the hide to leather. The process and how it's handled have significant impact on the qualities of the leather shoes, and how long the leather last.  With naturally tanning, it soften...

Does the leather stretch over time? Yes, leather is a material that will naturally stretch over time and will mould to your feet. We believe a fitted shoe should feel nothing more than "comfortable and snug". Can the shoes get wet? It's best not to! The main issue arises when the leather dries after it gets wet.  As the water dries, it draws out the natural oil of the leather, losing its supple quality which makes it brittle.  If you do get caught by surprise in the rain, fret not! Stuff your leather shoes with newspaper and allow them to air dry...

1) Finger Test How much room should you have in your shoes? Slide your index finger between your heel and the heel of your shoes. Your finger should fit snugly, but not too tight or loose. If it is tight, chances are you need a bigger size, and if it is loose, chances are you need a small size.  2) Walk around in the shoes  To check the fit and comfort. Ensure they don't rub anywhere. Your heel should not slip or slide while walking. Try them on a carpet so it doesn't scratch or damage the shoes in case you...
